Use Higher Performance Tool Choices

All tool choices are definitely not equal. HSS and Carbide are pretty obvious, but what about the "HP" and "TiAlN" choices?

These are higher performance models. If you're just using generic endmills, you want to choose either "HSS Endmill" or "Carbide Endmill."

If you've got some nice Cobalt Endmills (or Twist Drills), select the "HP" (for Higher Performance) version.

HP is also for premium endmills that have superior geometry or a coating other than TiAlN.

The highest performance of all are TiAlN coated carbide tools. Don't make that choice unless you've got that coating.

Want even more tooling choices and control?

No problem. Click that "..." button just to the right of the dropdown button. You'll get an even more comprehensive tool selection menu that has choices for different coatings and other options such as special geometries.
